2017 ABA REGULATORY COMPLIANCE CONFERENCE

Today the American Bankers Association announced the Regulatory Compliance Conference (ABARCC) for 2017 is, after a five-year absence, returning to Orlando, FL. The Conference will be conducted at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel from June 11 to 14, 2017. Combine four days of compliance with a pre- or post-conference trip to one or more of the Disney parks; bring the kids and the grandkids. We hope to join you there.

TRID DELAY

Today, within hours after the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) announced to 1,700 bankers at the ABA Regulatory Compliance Conference that there would be no delays in TRID (TIL/RESPA Integrated Disclosure Rule) implementation, CFPB Director Richard Cordray issued the following statement: “The CFPB will be issuing a proposed amendment to delay the effective date of the Know Before You Owe rule until October 1, 2015.
