2015 HMDA ISSUES

The January 2015 issue of the FFIEC’s CRA/HMDA Reporter has several good reminders about HMDA issues. The lead article, HOEPA Changes and New Edit Changes, focuses on changes to Regulation Z (HOEPA) rules that were effective in January 2014 and impacted the 2014 HMDA data just submitted by your bank. 2013 HMDA DATA NOW AVAILABLE

On September 22, 2014 the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) announced the availability of data on mortgage lending transactions at 7,190 U.S. financial institutions covered by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). Earlier this week the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) announced the availability of data on mortgage lending transactions at 7,400 U.S. financial institutions covered by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). REVISED HMDA GUIDE

On April 18th the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) published an updated version of A Guide to HMDA Reporting: Getting It Right. This is the first time the Guide has been updated since 2010. The 2013 edition reflects the transfer of authority over Regulation C from the Federal Reserve Board to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
