2018 HMDA DATA AVAILABLE

On August 30 the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) announced the availability of data on mortgage lending transactions at 5,683 U.S. financial institutions covered by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has released examination procedures for Prepaid Accounts to incorporate the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) amendments to Regulation E and Regulation Z. On May 11, 2018, the effective date of the Beneficial Ownership requirements, the Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) issued new examination procedures on the final rule, “Customer Due Diligence Requirements for Financial Institutions,” issued by the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) on May 11, 2016. The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) has released an updated and expanded version of the publication A Guide to HMDA Reporting – Getting it Right (aka the HMDA bible). The publication had not been updated since 2013.
