The windy city was extra breezy this week. Over 1,500 compliance geeks descended on the city for the annual ABA Regulatory Compliance Conference (RCC). The Hyatt Regency Chicago hosted the event. Starting with a special fair lending session on Saturday the RCC offered over 40 sessions on every aspect of compliance. The session titles were interesting. On May 29, 2013 the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published a final2 rule that amends Regulation Z to delay the June 1, 2013 effective date of a prohibition on creditors financing credit insurance premiums in connection with certain consumer credit transactions secured by a dwelling.
