On July 25 the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published a 30-page Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (ANPR) seeking comments relating to the scheduled January 10, 2021, expiration of the temporary qualified mortgage provision applicable to loans eligible for purchase or guarantee by the Government Sponsored Enterprises, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. On June 6 2019, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) issued a final rule to delay the August 19, 2019 compliance date for the mandatory underwriting provisions of the 2017 Payday Lending Rule to November 19, 2020.
