Our first blog article was published on June 22, 2010. We just completed the seventh year of Jack’s Blog. During that period we have written hundreds of articles. The headlines from June 2010 are still pertinent.
- Fair Lending – Is it still hot? (Conclusion – Yes, Fair Lending was hot seven years ago and is still hot today.)
- New Uniform Residential Mortgage Loan Application (NMSLR ID was added to form in 2010 and major revisions to the form are underway in 2017.)
- Mortgage Loan Originator Registration Requirements (Waiting on final regulations in June 2010.)
- Financial Reform – In the early morning hours on Friday June 25, 2010 a congressional panel reached agreement on a sweeping overhaul of the financial system. The agreement was next scheduled to go to the full Senate and House of Representatives for final votes and was expected to be on President Obama’s desk for signing by July 4th. (If you guessed Dodd-Frank you are correct.)
June of 2010 was when the seeds were planted for our website (Jacks Compliance Resource) and for our unique on-line compliance service (Compliance Masters Group). We launched the website a year later and the Compliance Masters Group meet for the first time in July 2011.
It is amazing how time flies…
