Someone in our organization has been in contact with a firm that originates and services student loans (LendKey) and wants us to put a link on our website the company will use to collect student loan application information. They will then send us the completed apps and we make the decision to fund or not. They are going to be responsible for disclosures, payment processing, collections. Is anyone doing anything similar or had any experience with this company? Some in management think this is a win-win, but I’m concerned about any compliance issues that may arise and am not sure what questions I need to be asking. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
