    We have a customer who is disputing a cancellation fee from Directv. I found a copy of their contract online and it states that they may charge a cancellation fee if the customer signed a programming agreement and cancelled before the term of the agreement was over. The customer apparently claims to not have signed a contract. Is the best solution to call Directv and see if they can send a copy of the contract if one exists?

    I think that would be a logical step as part of your investigation.
