Beginning January 1, 2009, all mortgagees shall provide the “Notification to Homeowners of the Kentucky Homeownership Protection Center” document to all Kentucky borrowers, as required by KRS 286.2-020. Some of my fellow co-workers seem to think this is not a valid program anymore and are wondering if the form still needs to be given to the borrower. Is this still a valid program? Do we still need to give this form?
The government is very good at putting requirements like this in place, but no so good at removing them once they have outlived their usefulness. I am not aware of any action revoking this requirement.
