I have been unable to verify the legitimacy of a pair of emails related to changes in the annual LEI renewal process. The emails have indicated GLEIF is planning to require GMEI Utility users “to complete a form that is executed by a signatory of the firm authorizing the user to obtain or renew an entity’s LEI. The user’s form, upon return to the GMEI Utility, will be verified to establish authority.”

I got the same emails. It makes sense I guess. They just need documentation showing that you are authorized to make those decisions.

That makes me feel better that someone else has received the emails. I agree, it makes sense. What bothers me is the lack of information about this new process on both the GLEIF and GMEI Utility sites.
