Referencing §339.9(d), I know the “Notice of special flood hazards and availability of federal disaster relief assistance” must be signed, but does the notice have to be signed by all borrowers or just the primary borrower?
In a transaction involving multiple borrowers, the lender need only provide the Notice of Special Flood Hazards to any one of the borrowers in the transaction. Lenders may provide multiple notices if they choose. The lender and borrower(s) typically designate the borrower to whom the Notice of Special Flood Hazards will be provided.
