If we have a customer, DAC Corp. that is the sole member of Local Franchise Store # 16 LLC, can the checks taken at the franchise be made payable to the Local Franchise Store # 16 LLC and be endorsed DAC Corp DBA Local Franchise Store #16? The Corporation is in good standing with the SOS, has a current corporate resolution and the IRS letter awarding the TIN. The SOS site verifies that the corporation is the sole member of the LLC. The corporation also has an assumed name certificate for the county where the LLC is operating. We would normally do this. But, I have a business owner who has several LLCs under the umbrella of a corporation and needs to bank each LLC locally who is being told he must have all checks made payable to the corporation and endorsed by the corporation or they will not be accepted for deposit. Have I missed something?
