We are doing a real estate closing & preparing the CD. There is a Broker for the Borrower and another Broker for the seller. We are having issues completing their information on page 5 of the CD. We use the Kentucky Department of Professional Licensing website to verify what the Broker’s ID and address. When inquiring on one Broker she has a different office address on the website than what is on the real estate contract. Which address are we to use? Then on the other Broker there is a different company name (an LLC company) on that website than what is on his sales contract (Era Select Real Estate). There are also 2 different address for these 2. The LLC has a home address. The broker himself is listed on the website under the LLC company but not under Era Real Estate Co. Do we use the website info or the info on the sales contract?

IMO – I would use the contract information it will be what the client has. They could have changed offices, which would account for the difference in addresses. Websites are often times not updated quickly. In a lot of cases, a LLC will use a DBA but on Professional State Pages it will list legal names.
