Today the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) published it’s semiannual agenda as part of the Fall 2013 Unified Agenda of Federal Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions. The Agenda reflects antipathy actions during the period from October 1, 2012 to October 1, 2013. The next agenda will be published in spring 2013 and will update the agenda through October 1, 2013.
According to the agenda the following final rules are expected in January 2013:
- Regulation X and Z – Mortgage Servicing Rules;
- Regulation Z – Escrow Rules; and
- Regulation Z – Ability to Repay Rules.
The final rules integrating Truth in Lending and RESPA disclosures are expected in September 2013.
A final rule amending Regulation CC is expected in August 2013.
Regulation B rules dealing with the collection of HMDA-like data for business loans is listed as a long-term project.
The agenda fails to mention revisions to Regulation C to expand HMDA data collection and amendments to Regulations B and Z to implement to implement Dodd-Frank revisions to appraisal rules.
