Good morning, the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act Notice Disclosure (form HUD-92070) has an expiration date of 11/30/2024. The form I’m accessing is found here: https://www.hud.gov/program_offices/administration/hudclips/forms/hud9

Do you know if there’s an updated form with a current expiration date? If not, should we continue to use the form with the 11/30/2024 expiration date from HUD’s website?

I’ve tried contacting HUD directly, USA.gov, and so far I haven’t connected with anyone that can answer my question. They are seeing the same form with the 11/30/24 that I’m finding.

    Thank you,

    Hi JLynn!

I sent this question to a member of our training faculty, Rebekah Leonard, an SCRA expert. Here is her response:

“This is a historical problem that has occurred with virtually every HUD SCRA Notice expiration going back years and years. HUD is simply abysmal at updating it on time (or making sure all information is correct, for that matter). In 2015 the form had typos and misspellings, and the 3/31/2021 expired form didn’t get updated until May 2022. That was HUD’s latest action, making it good until 11/30/2024… and here we are again!

Do continue to use the expired form as-is. Do not remove the expiration date – it provides a version reference and does not limit the content or applicability of the notice. I am not aware of any proposed or final changes to the content of the form, so it is just a waiting game for the renewed version. Should a customer ask about it, explain that the form comes from HUD without any bank control over it, but the information remains relevant. Lastly, don’t hold your breath for an update. Even in the best of times, it took awhile… so under the current scrutiny of governmental staffing, it is likely not a priority and may take even longer.”
