We recently added a secondary market loan area and recently became an approved VA lender. Is there a requirement to post a separate VA Equal Opportunity Lender poster? Or is the standard 11 X 14 Equal Housing poster we have in all branch lobbies sufficient?

I was given “VA Poster 26-77-2” that was received in the mail, but it’s from 9/2013 which seems old and it is probably related to recently being approved as a VA lender. I did a search online and this form did not come up specifically. I am trying to determine if the poster is required, and if so, would that be in all branches, main office only, or location the mortgage department is located?

I wasn’t able to find a copy of the VA’s poster to review. I did find a copy of the VA EQUAL OPPORTUNITY LENDER CERTIFICATIONI that states you must
“prominently display the Equal Opportunity Lender poster in each place of business where VA loans are offered by the lender”.

If you have a copy, I’d suggest reviewing it and comparing to the EHL poster. If there are differences it does seem you would need to display the VA poster as well as the EHL poster if you certified you would do so in your agreement as a VA lender. If questions still remain, you should check with the VA and your regulator for their advice.
