Using Appraisers to do Evaluations

    One of our appraisers has offered his services to conduct all of our “internal evaluations”. He would charge a flat fee and would want the lender to take the pictures and send to him and would then type the evaluation. He would also remain on our rotation list for full appraisals. Would there be any issues with this?

    This sounds reasonable as long as your bank/the appraiser follows the requirements for evaluations in the interagency guidelines.
