Website compliance with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) is not topic you can afford to put off. Readability and accessibility issues, such as website content expressed only in graphics or font size that is too small, can lead to lawsuits, penalties and reputational risk. In this session, we will discuss the issues commonly cited in lawsuits and citations. We will review the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) guidelines and steps you can take to ensure your website is accessible to those with disabilities. In addition, we will provide you with best practices to help you prepare a plan to update your website to meet accessibility standards and avoid costly litigation.
We will also take a look at how other regulations impact the information available on your website, including product marketing and disclosures, logo and legend display and privacy. Detailed checklists will be provided for you to verify your website meets regulatory expectations.

Dawn Kincaid began her banking career while attending The Ohio State University. She has over 20 years’ experience in client service, operations, information technology, administrative and board relations, marketing, and compliance. Most recently Dawn served as the Senior Vice President of Operations for a central-Ohio-based community bank, where she created and refined policies and procedures, conducted self-audits and risk assessments, and organized the implementation of new products and services.
