Alice Beyer is the Senior Risk Advisor with SightSpan Consulting’s esteemed Global Payments Group. Ms. Alice Beyer, a seasoned professional with extensive expertise in risk management, payments, and financial services, spanning over 20 years. Her expertise covers a wide spectrum, including Leadership, Payments, and Financial Services. Ms. Beyer has collaborated with numerous partners of varying sizes and managed a diverse range of
products, including Digital, open/closed loop/RAN restrictions, reloadable, disbursements, currency exchange, DDA, remittances, faster/RTP/P2P payments, and traditional banking and lending products. Her experience in working with multiple issuers and FinTech companies, coupled with a practical operational approach, makes her an invaluable asset to the SightSpan team of Advisors. During her tenure with multiple issuing banks, Ms.
Beyer has demonstrated exceptional leadership in spearheading projects and teams dedicated to implementing or resolving issues related to Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions & KYC/CIP, Regulation E: Error Resolution and Complaint Monitoring, UDAAP, Suspicious Activity Monitoring / Reporting / Operational Efficiencies, Customer Due Diligence / Enhanced Due Diligence and Privacy. Ms. Beyer proved herself adept at overseeing various audits, including Compliance, BSA/AML, and Third-Party Risk audits, independent AML/BSA audits, and coordinating PCI DSS and SOC1 type 2 audits for the organization.
Ms. Beyer’s leadership prowess is evident in her history of successfully leading multiple teams, including
Account Management, Operations (implementation, settlement, and ACH), Fraud (Chargebacks/Reg E, ongoing
transaction monitoring, OFAC/Sanctions, CIP, Identity Theft Red Flags), Compliance (Consumer, E-Sign,
Marketing), and Risk (Insurance, reserves management, and Governance). She has been instrumental in
streamlining implementation and onboarding processes, implementing, and improving Anti-Money Laundering
(AML) and Combating Terrorist Financing (CTF) programs, and contributing to the development of Regulatory
Compliance processes to improve oversight. Her expertise extends to areas such as Risk Management,
Sanctions, Third-Party Risk Oversight, first-line Testing/Controls and product review processes and developing
and delivering board communications.
Having collaborated with various financial institutions, including State and Federally chartered Banks,
international financial institutions, currency exchange firms, Money Transmitters, Money Service Businesses,
Fintechs, Processors, and Providers & Sellers of Prepaid Access, Ms. Beyer’s insights have proved invaluable to
her clients. Ms. Beyer’s illustrious career has seen her occupy leadership positions at esteemed institutions
such as the Central Bank of Kansas City (CBKC), MetaBank (now Pathward), and CitiBank. At MetaBank, she
held the position of Vice President of Partner Services, where she played a crucial role in designing efficient
onboarding processes for Bank partners and supporting regulatory remediation requirements. During her
tenure at the Central Bank of Kansas City, she served as Vice President-Operations, contributing significantly to
the areas of Settlement, ACH, Implementations, and Quality Assurance & Testing.
Ms. Beyer’s academic qualifications are extensive. She holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA)
obtained from the University of Sioux Falls, as well as a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Business Management,
with a specialization in Project Management, obtained from Colorado Technical University. With Ms. Beyer’s
education, leadership experience and extensive risk and compliance knowledge, the SightSpan Consumer
Compliance Advisory team is well-equipped to provide expert guidance and ensure compliance with industry
