Over the last few months, we’ve been asking you a series of quick, one question polls. We asked about your top compliance concerns, the impact of the election on your program, and which fictional character was your compliance spirit animal. Here’s what you had to say…
- When asked what your top concern for Q4 of 2024 and the new year was, the overwhelming response was Section 1071 with 50% of the vote.
- BSA, AML, & Fraud and CRA Modernization were the second and third most concerning topics, respectively. But Third-Party Risk, a hot-button topic throughout this year, received only 8% of the vote.
- We also asked how concerned you were that the outcome of the election would lead to significant regulatory changes effecting your bank’s compliance efforts?
- 34% of you were very concerned, but the most of you, 38%, were “somewhat concerned.”
- Only 10% weren’t concerned at all.
- Sherlock Holmes & Hermione Granger tied at 32% for the fictional character that best represented your approach to compliance.
- 26% of you related to vigilant and ethical Captain America.
- Only 11% thought they were most like Iron Man (innovative & tech-savvy).
