Today marked the first day of the 2019 ABA Regulatory Compliance Conference in New Orleans, LA. The sessions went off without a hitch, but the recent storms across the country caused many flight delays and cancellations leaving some behind. Those who were able to attend the Sunday sessions were tasked with trying to decide which sessions to attend first. Planning out your daily agenda takes some organization, but there are plenty of topics to keep everyone happy.
The ABA offers an app to help attendees plan their schedule, communicate amongst one another, take surveys to provide feedback on the presenters, post photos, etc. It is a fun and useful tool that is worth checking out.
As always, we like to give our subscribers who are unable to attend the conference a glimpse into some of the more interesting topics that will be presented throughout the week. Don’t let anyone tell you that compliance people don’t have a sense of humor. Here were some of our favorite titles:
-What the Flood? Don’t Get Washed Away by a Flood of Changes
-Next Gen Compliance Management Systems: This Ain’t Your Grandma’s CMS
-Navigating the “Bayou” of Mortgage Servicing
If you couldn’t make it to New Orleans this year then mark your calendar for the 2020 conference that will take place at the Gaylord National Convention Center and Hotel in National Harbor, Maryland June 7th-10th. Year after year the conference proves to be informative, fun, and a great place to network with your peers.
As they say in New Orleans, ““laissez les bon temps rouler” or “let the good times roll”! We are looking forward to sharing more insight into the hot topics and need to know information so stay tuned!
